FULBRIGHT/AMERICAN POLITICAL SCIENCE ASSOCIATION (APSA)

We are pleased to announce grant opportunities for three or four foreign senior scholars and professionals coming from eligible countries, including Indonesia, under the FY2007 Fulbright/American Political Science Association (APSA) Congressional Fellowship Program. The program is a twelve-month grant designed to give foreign scholars and professionals the opportunity to study the workings of Congress as a Congressional fellow and staff person working full time in a Congressional office for approximately six months of the grant. Other periods of the grant are devoted to seminars and enrichment activities. The average class is a diverse group of mid-career U.S. political science professors and journalists, U.S. government domestic and foreign affairs policy specialists, health policy physicians and health-care professionals, and five or six international fellows in addition to the Fulbright/APSA Fellows. FULBRIGHT ASEAN VISITING SCHOLARS PROGRAM 2008-09

The Fulbright Program is pleased to announce a new opportunity for Fulbright Visiting Scholars, The Fulbright ASEAN Visiting Scholars Program. The purpose of this new initiative is to provide opportunities for travel to the United States for scholarly and professional research on issues central to the ASEAN-U.S. relationship. The program is open to university faculty, foreign ministry and government officials, and professional staff of think tanks and other NGOs in ASEAN member nations. PARTICIPATING COUNTRIES For 2008-09, the inaugural year of the program, applications will be invited from interested individuals in Indonesia, Malaysia, the Philippines, Singapore and Thailand. GENERAL PROGRAM DESCRIPTION The American Indonesia Exchange Foundation (AMINEF) is pleased to announce the availability of Fulbright scholarships to study in the United States for the 2009 – 2010 academic year. The primary focus of the Fulbright Program in Indonesia is to promote mutual understanding between the Republic of Indonesia and the United States of America through educational exchange and academic scholarship. Fulbright scholarships are available to Indonesian citizens with the appropriate qualifications as stipulated in the program descriptions listed below. PROGRAM ANNOUNCEMENT The International Leadership in Education Program (ILEP) is a program of the Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs of the U.S. Department of State, and is implemented by IREX (the International Research & Exchanges Board), a Washington, DC based non-profit organization.
